MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON WED 4th NOVEMBER

 2009

Item    1.         Welcome.                        Steven thanked everyone for attending and apologies were read out..

Item 2.            Minutes of Previous Meeting.    The Minutes were read and taken as a true record.

Item 3.            Matters Arising from Previous Meeting.

a.         Air Source Heating.     Steven stated that unless the tenant contacts MC then they will not get the vent covered.

b.         Website.   The latest newsletter has been put on the website. Mike asked about training and this is in hand.

Item 4.            Housing Officers Report.      None available

Item 5.            Treasurer’s Report.

The Bank balance to date is £443.71p plus raffle of £51.20p. Total is £491.91p. There is one cheque to come off for £31.44p making the in-hand total of £463.47p. Copies were passed around and the books are available for inspection any time.

Item 6.            Bilbohall and Rothes Issues.

a.         Discussion took place regarding the sale of land in Rothes.

b.         Liz gave a resume on the latest meeting of the Elgin High School Litter Group. It was felt that naming and shaming would possibly work and that perhaps someone could take photographs of the culprits. We all discussed the litter outside the shops and it could be of benefit to educate from Primary 7. There has been no response from Asda regarding the litter bin.

c.         Liz stated that there is still treble parking in Mossend Place.

Item 7.            Annual General Meeting.    Our Guest Speakers for this year will be our dedicated Community Beat Officers, PCs Mike Molloy and Jamie McMillan. No voting papers will be required. As last year we wish to give a donation to Cedarwood so could everyone please take a raffle. The AGM will be held on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 in Cedarwood, Edgar Road, Elgin at 7.30pm.

The Core Group AGM is being held in Cedarwood on November 17th and all tenants are welcome to attend.

Item 8.            Anniversary.     Our Tenth Anniversary will be combined along with the Core Group and will be held on November 6th 2009 in the Seaforth Club at 7pm for 7.30pm. There will be a buffet and disco.

Item 9.            Correspondence.     

a.         Letter from Cedarwood reference changes to the existing policy for users. Steven read this out.

b.         Steven read out an e-mail he had received from Chris Beard.

c.         Moira read out a letter received from Gus Dobney congratulating us on our Ten years.

Item 10.          AOCB.           There was no AOCB.

Item 11.          Date of Next Meeting.        The next meeting will be our Annual General Meeting which will be held on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 in Cedarwood, Edgar Road, Elgin at 7.00pm.
