MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON 1st JULY 2009 Present: Mr S Christie (Chair); Mrs M Sutherland (Secretary); Mrs E Miller (Treasurer); Mrs J Allan; Mr F Steele; Ms F Shaw Apologies: Cllr J Divers; Cllr J Sharp; Cllr G Leadbitter; Mr M Pirie; Mrs I Younnie Item 1. Welcome. Steven thanked everyone for attending and apologies were read out. Item 2. Minutes of Previous Meeting. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and taken as a true record. Proposed: Mrs E Miller Seconded: Ms Pam McKerron, AHO Item 3. Matters Arising from Previous Minutes. a. Item 3b. - Tree Roots. Pam stated that she is currently awaiting prices to have the trees removed. b. Item 3c. - Street Signs. Steven handed out a report on the street signs that need replaced/refurbished. c. Item 9a - Abuse of Moray Council staff and workmen. Steven took this forward to the Core Group and will have a meeting with Eric McGillvray. He also plans to take this to the Housing Sub-Committee. Item 4. Area Housing Officer’s Report. a. Tree roots as stated above. b. Rothes heating contract - to be discussed under Rothes issues. Item 5. Treasurer’s Report. The Bank balance to date is £527.55p plus raffle of £48.71p. Total is £576.26p. There is one cheque to come off for £50 making the in-hand total of £526.26p. Copies were passed around and the books are available for inspection any time. Item 6. Bilbohall Issues. The areas identified by the Forum have been done. However, there are some queries: Rear of Coleburn Court - only earth has been put on. The tar was broken up, some of it removed and the earth put on. Mannoch Court - The old tar was dug up and the existing footpath repaired. Ben Aigen Walk - Removed tar and put earth over it Mossend Place - put down tar with loose chips on top. Pam suggested that the Roads Dept be e-mailed to highlight this. Item 7. Rothes Issues. a. Air Source Heating. Issues have previously been highlighted regarding the siting of the external air source heating fans on properties. All Rothes members agreed that a copy of the Risk Assessment be requested. b. Bench at Forsyth Avenue. This work is complete. c. Rothes Park. There are numerous broken bottles in the park. Several people have rang Moray Council but nothing has been done. d. Public Toilets. Are the public toilets in Rothes being replaced? Item 8. Correspondence. a. MVSO Newsletter. The latest newsletter was received, the Forum have an article in this issue. Item 9. AOCB. a. Community Warden. AThe Forum are disappointed that no communication has been received from the new Community Warden and that there has been no attendance at any of our meetins. Previous Minutes and a list of future dates had previously been sent. b. Kitchen Contracts. When are they due to start? |
