As the colder weather is now upon us the forum members wish to remind people to be aware of frozen water pipes. If you are planning to go away for more than a couple of days during the colder period, we urge you to turn off the water supply to your home and drain the system. The Moray Council will do this for free if you are a tenant. The alternative to draining the system is to leave your central heating on at a low setting, but ideally the previous option would be best. Many households were faced with the misery of flooding from burst pipes last winter please don't let it happen to you this year. ************
The latest edition of the Tenants Voice is due to be published in early December, along with your copy you should receive a copy of the new Repairs Booklet please don't throw this away. You will see that it contains information about repairs to your home along with diagrams of various fittings you may find in your home, this booklet may become necessary should you need to call your housing office regarding any repairs that require attention. *************
