Over the past few weeks contractors have been on site tidying up the former play areas on the estate, this has involved removing old tarmac and replacing it with earth and grass seed and two of the areas have had new footpaths installed. The forum members have been surprised at how quickly this work has been completed and thank all concerned.

The roads DLO have been on the estate laying down new road surfaces with loose chippings, a number of comments have been made regarding this and how the finish looks incomplete,and that the surface had no real time to bed in before the excess chippings were cleared up.

The forum members wish to remind people that it is an offence to allow a dog in their charge to foul a public space and not remove it, there has been an increase in  the amount of fouling over recent months and we urge the public to report anyone who does not clear up after their dog/s.

The members from Rothes are pleased to see that some of the works that they identified have been undertaken, and that a new bench has been installed on Green street. The current phase of air source heating system installations is nearly complete, and indications are that tenants who have the new systems are happy with them. The forum members have raised concerns about the height at which the external fan units have been set on some installations, as it has been noted that a child could easily run into these units which have some sharp edges. It is hoped that the council and the contractors will review this and act accordingly.
